Plague inc - Necroa Virus

This one is not easy to beat on brutal. It has many factors in the game and so far I think there is no easy recipe to beat it. This virus is basically played in two parts. First part is infecting people and the second part moving zombies around the world. I've managed to get it on brutal, however I'm not sure if this will work every time. I will try to optimize it later on. Here it goes:

- Start in Saudi Arabia
- Evolve Zoonotic shift
- Evolve Bat 1
- Evolve Bat 2
- Don't worry about mutations
- Evolve Drug Resistance 1
- Evolve Saliva 1
- Evolve Gastrointestinal Expansion
- Evolve Saliva 2
- Evolve Cold Resistance 1
- Evolve Water 1
- Evolve Water 2
- First part is done - it happened a few times that infection was really slow, these were the times I couldn't complete the game, because I didn't have enough DNA to get to zombies
- Keep popping bubbles and wait until you get the notification that cure is 50% complete
- Evolve Hyper Salivation, Polyphagia, Gastroenteritis, Cannibalism and Cythopathic Reanimation
- Evolve Anarobic Resuscitation, Enhanced Motor Control, Peptide surge
- Evolve Horde Instinct, Structured Travel and Drifting fermentation
- Start infecting islands with hordes, this is the toughest part and the most crucial one that you do right
- I suggest you slow down time for this part
- Try to infect all the islands that are not infected now
- First focus on northern islands like Iceland and Greenland if possible, I've always found Z Com bases in the north more annoying
- If there is any Z COM base on an island don't worry about it, try to infect it once and move on
- Keep evolving
- Evolve Dermal Calcification, Cranial Elephantitis, Bone Dysplasia
- Evolve Acidic Reflux, Naja Mortis and Authothysis
- Now start attacking the Z Com bases with hordes, your zombies should be strong enough against them
- Do not forget about the uninfected countries, Sweden, Norway and Canada were almost always the last uninfected countries
- If you see that hordes aren't enough against Z COM, try Regenrative activation and try to raise a few dead in that country, or you could try and make hordes larger with Horde mentality if there are not many dead in the Z Com countries
- And my Daisy Z has destroyed humanity yet again

  1. Wow you work fast. Once I unlock this virus, I'll see how this guide does. Keep up the good work.

  2. Great write up! It worked well. I found that it was much easier to win if you also upgrade Horde Mentality into the millions. Much easier to infect other areas and defeat Z Com.

    ReplyDelete
  3. This worked 3 out of 4 times for me. It's highly dependent on how much the virus spreads.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Worked Great for me too! Only had one Z com base which was easily destroyed.

  5. You are the effing man. After playing this almost non-stop this Tuesday night, your advice helped me beat it.

  6. If you start in Egypt or saudi arabia, africa will be full of zombies once z-com appears. If it appears in europe, which it often does, I immedeatly sent hordes of millions across mediterranian before z-com spreads. Crushing their first base instantly makes the rest easy.

  7. Thank You! I was struggling to win even on Normal level. This strategy put me over the top in Normal and Brutal mode. Before I was putting way too many DNA pts into the Abilities and never had enough left to give the zombies enough strength to survive against Z-Com. I think its also critical to evolve the size of the hordes, so they can travel and attack in overwhelming numbers, otherwise ZCom hangs around and starts spreading.

  8. Wow! That worked really well. Thanks a lot!

  9. This strategy worked for me once and for some reason it won't work again because one country is still standing. I run out of dna points then I just watch as the game ends in a loss. Just telling you my experience with this statagy.

    ReplyDelete
  10. This strategy worked for me before Plague Inc's latest update, when you didn't have to use any DNA points to use hordes and regenerative abilities. Now that you do have to use DNA points to use hordes and regenerative abilities against specific countries, I, too, am running out of DNA points by the last one or two countries and watching as the game ends in a loss.

    1. I'll check as soon as I can. I think when I was playing I had to use DNA to use hordes. I've seen 2 updates, so we'll see.

    2. I just finished the game on brutal. I've had more than 70 DNA left at the end. I was even hit with shortened valve time and extra cold and that did affect the infection rate in the first part of the game. I guess it could be that due to randomness you're running out of DNA. Make sure you're not double infecting the islands and leave those land connected countries until the end. I did try to make this strategy 100%, but the most success I've had so far is with this one. I actually get higher scores with this strategy on Necroa than with my other viruses.

    3. If Z Com gives you trouble try upgrading horde mentality as one user suggested. I've crushed the last few countries with this easilly.

      Delete
    4. Actually maybe dumping regerative activation and going horde mentality is the better strategy. It does depend on the game though.

    5. There's some gene for reducing the value of hordes and regenerative abilities - why dont you try that . It's called spliced activation

  11. Excellent post, after trying mu usual strategies this was the one that worked.

  12. What are some genes you'd advise using? I'm using Metabolic Jump (Extra DNA from red biohazard bubbles), Darwinist (Increased mutation chance), Aquacyte (Increased water transmission chance), Extremophile (Slight bonus in all climates) and for the Necroa unique genes... Dopamine Inhibitor (Increased zombie victim transformation chance) sound good?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. For the guides, I don't use modified genes. I would probably choose Cytochrome Surge over Metabolic Jump. It yields more DNA in the beginning, before you start infecting other countries and can be a life saver in late rounds when all the countries have already been infected. I agree on all the other genes.

  13. Worked on the first try for me! Thanks a lot!

  14. (From same person who asked about genes) There's an achievement for completing the Necroa Virus without creating a single zombie... I'm guessing that would be attained by developing lethal symptoms without developing Cytopathic Reanimation. Trying to do that, but it's a pain, even on casual. The lethality doesn't spike up so much and the cure is researched much quicker. Genetic Mimic (Increase amount of research time for the cure) replaces Darwinist for me, wondering if I should go for Catalytic Switch (DNA from blue, cure bubbles) in replacement of Cytochromic Surge and Necroa unique genes are pretty much useless. I think. Still working on it, if I somehow work out a way to do that, I'll post it.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I will try to do this later today. This achievement sounds interesting. I didn't find Catalytic switch useful in previous versions of Plague. When the blue bubbles start appearing, it's usually too late.

  15. I don't have Horde Instinct, Structured Travel, Drifting Fermentation, and Mummification showing up. I have all the Abilities evolved yet those 4 things never show up. I'm playing on Android, a Galaxy S3 in all 3 layers. I won once on Casual.

    1. I'll check, I didn't expect update so soon on android.

      Delete
    2. I didn't go into details, but you should definitely have Horde instinct and the rest. They should appear when you go into zombie mode - Cythopathic Reanimation

      Delete
    3. After Cytopathic reanimation I get Anaerobic reanimation, Enhanced sensory, Peptide surge, Masticatory tension, Acidic reflux, Dermal Calcification, Temporal lobe, Hyperosmia, Adrenal, Cathemeral shift, but I never get Hording instinct, Structured travel, or any of the others.

      Delete
    4. Horde Instict, structured travel etc appear under abilities. You're listing symptoms. Check under abilites after Cythopathic Reanimation. If it doesn't appear, you should probably contact Ndemic Creations about a bug. Maybe any other Galaxy S3 user can help you.

  16. Why won't it let me infect islands with the horde instinct?

    1. Make sure, you're infecting from adjacent countries. Sometimes it can happen that you can't move the horde, but that is really rare.

  18. FYI - genes I used were:

Metabolic Hijack, Treacyte, Spliced Activation, Creationist (although Genetic Mimic would work as well if we aren't concerned about mutations) and Extremophile.

    1. I'm sorry to hear that. But since you're the only person who failed with this guide for hundreds of times, you have to give me more than that if you want help.

    2. Dennis if you failed a hundred times on casual then you just suck at the game

      Delete
  20. It worked. Thank you such much. I beat it in normal with this strategy.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Use CS DNA boost, base oxide genes, drug 1 GH GRS 1 and 2 blood 1 and air 1. Takes a while but achieves 100% infection before being noticed. At that point evolve zombies and the world dies, without having to use hordes or event care about z-com since the country it starts in is 100% infected.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I will try that for the achievement. I usually have problems with mutations and infection gets noticed.

      Delete
  22. Had to ditch zoonitic, and just go for blood and saliva, then air and water, then the strategy above worked well, took like 7 tries to get it on brutal, hordes in the millions works well, but watch your DNA, sucks to run out

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I see the problem. They have changed this plague a bit with the new update. Z-Com bases start sooner and they get hard really fast. The game is still beatable with this tactics, but they've made it harder and more random based. I haven't found tactics that work 100% every time, yet. I use zoonotic shift and bats to actually get more mutations to save DNA. I actually prefer Insects to Water 1 & 2, but if I get any of the filter or clean tanks then I need this. So I included Water 1 & 2 into this guide to try and make it simpler. I also consider dumping cold 1 and cold 2, because it is usually too late to infect the colder countries.

      Delete
    2. Hopefully they have stopped with the mini updates and I can focus on some "foolproof" solution.

      Delete
    3. I might be onto something, because I've destroyed my last game. I need to test it a few time on my devices and then, I might be updating this guide.

  23. I just finished brutal using the strategy at the top. it has a pinch of luck, but over all it worked.

  24. Has anybody won yet without evolving zombies?
Whatever I do the cure wins out

    ReplyDelete
  25. I've tried the strategy above as well as some variations but I always run out of dna before I can get all the countries infected. I've had well over 6 billion dead, over half the countries destroyed and 2 or 3 countries still uninfected. Then I run out of dna and it all goes south. All of a sudden there are now dozens of uninfected countries and I know its finished.

How the hell do I get more dna and finish this thing? It's frustrating.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. DNA shouldn't be a problem. I've run this strategy over 30 times over the last week and some variations of it. The biggest problem I've had was with the Z-Com bases. Make sure you're following everything correctly. If you do, the biggest problem are too strong Z-Com bases. I'm trying to find out how to solve this, but so far it looks like the game was designed to struggle agaist Z-Com and to be more random based. I play only on brutal, this guides are on brutal. So if you're having problems on casual and normal, you're definitely doing something wrong. If you're running out of DNA on this part - Evolve Hyper Salivation, Polyphagia, Gastroenteritis, Cannibalism and Cythopathic Reanimation, go the other way around. Make sure you're using the hordes, only the islands and Z-Com countries should be the problem.

      Delete
    2. With the other way around I mean: Insomnia, fever and so on.

      Delete
  26. Before I found your strategy, I tried probably 20-30 times on Normal difficulty, and just could not win no matter what I tried. I would always have 1 or 2 countries left with Z Com bases and would run out of DNA points before I could kill them off. Alas, I tried this strategy and after the very first attempt, I finally beat the damn thing. I haven't tried this on Brutal yet, but THANK YOU for finally getting me past Normal, at least lol

    ReplyDelete
  27. thanks for the sound advice. The first time i tried your strategy on normal mode,it worked. Before, i was taking way to much time developing things that clearly werent necessary ...

  28. Works great! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  29. i find it easiest to increase horde mentality all the way down so you pummel the anti forces with millions per horde....this makes things really simple it also nearly guarentees instant infection and take over of any countries that you have left to infect...

    ReplyDelete
  30. dude, works wonders thank you

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have been using the following strategy for brutal level with over 95% of successful rate.

For Modify genetic code, pick Metabolic Hijack, Creationist (most crucial), Aerocyte, Extremophile and Spliced Activation.

Pick your starting location as a SMALL island countries with both port and airport. Iceland seems to be the best. But others are also fine. The idea is to get your virus start spreading to other countries as earliest as possible. So if your starting country is a small one it is quicker.

Pick the following from transmission: blood 1, air 1 and air 2. You may also add saliva 1 (optional but it tends to makes the end game easier).

For ability pick heat 1, cold 1 and drug resistance 1.

Don't pick any symptoms yet as otherwise your virus will be exposed.

These are all you need. You just need to wait untill your virus is discovered. Your goal is delay making zombie, because Z-com will appear soon after zombies appear and you will need to make the best preparation for them. Once you add any lethal symptons the world will speed up research. So I will advise you not add any symptoms untill the cure is 50% complete. By that time you should have over 60 DNA points stocked so you should be able to get crytopic reanimation right away.

After Zombies start to build up numbers, you should next try to increase the severity. To combat, Z-com you need mighty zombies. Don't hesitate to spend all of your DNA improving the severity. Focus on the skills to the bottom and then to the right of the symptoms pages, because the DNA will be pouring in quickly at this stage.

Eventually you will need to determine whether you need horde or raise dead to deal with them (or both in some cases). But you don't need to determine which one untill they appear. Wait untill Z-com pick its location before deciding which strategy is needed.

If you follow through this strategy, it is very likely that the world is heavily infested at this point. Even when the cure may have been completed by now. You should be able to get roughly 2-3 billion (or more) zombies scattered in nearly all countries. This way Z-com will likely to land EITHER in a heavily infested country OR next to a heavily infested country. In the first case you can depend on raise dead. In the second case you can use horde skill. In both case, spend some points raising the effectiveness before unleashing your zombies, and aimed at crushing Z-com first base. In some of cases, Z-com will start in a hopelessly infested country and you can sit back and do nothing and see it being squashed.

This is all of the essence of the strategy: start with small country, delay discovery, build stronger zombies, and delay investing in raise or horde.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. BTW, the above strategy work for latest updates. I read elsewhere and know the difficulty on brutal has increased since the last updates. It become not feasible to spend too many points on transmission before you get zombies.

      Delete
    2. I tried it and your strategy works perfectly. I would have adjusted my guide as your is more 'bulletproof', but I use vanilla game without modified genes for my guides. I've tried with severity in my guide, but it still happened that Z-Com was too strong. Small starting country is a great concept, I haven't thought of it before.

      Delete
    3. I see. It is so much harder to beat brutal with no modified genes. It will be very much depend on luck if I just removed the creationist gene from the above formula.

      Delete
    4. One problem that I end up running into with your guide is that every game I end up with the message that makes it so I need to upgrade to water 1 to get back to infecting ships so I can infect countries like Greenland, which leaves me with a difficult time getting the amount of DNA needed.

      Delete
    5. Great strategy... I was struggling in this stage. Starting in Iceland was a brilliant idea. I did not have any Necroa genes. SO I used your combination of genes without the spliced activation and still managed to finish it.
      Phew!!! Thanks

      Delete
    6. No longer working, towards the end you just stop getting enough DNA to catch up with ZCom.

      Delete
    7. This one worked for me, starting in Iceland is brilliant and effective! I'd played normal for more than a week with no joy. Tried this and won first time zcom got a single foothold and quickly crushed.

  33. There is an achievement for winning necroa virus without activating zombies.
I have been working on it for a week or so with no luck.. Even on casual the cure is just too fast!
Has anybody else had any luck?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The closest I've got is with base oxidation modified gene. I was lucky that only my transmissions mutated. So far I'm pretty sure that is the only way to infect all the people without the plague being detected. I didn't manage to kill all the people fast enough. The cure got to me every time.

      Delete
    2. OK, so far I've managed this: Use base oxidation, then evolve drug resistance, genetic hardening, genetic reshuffle 1 and genetic reshuffle 2. This way you can infect everyone without much mutations that start the cure research. I've managed to kill about 2 billion people. This is the closest I've gotten so far.

      Delete
  34. All right, now that we've got it figured out, let's try to crack those achievements.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I agree. I didn't know about the tips you could get here, so I had to figure out how to beat Necroa on Brutal on my own (highest I've gotten on Brutal is 152,020). That said, I have not even come close to beating the game without creating zombies at any level. Even when I infect the whole world first before the disease is discovered and then hit it with all the non-zombie lethal symptoms and every option to slow research speed I have seen no glimmer of a chance of winning without creating a single zombie. I am open to any ideas!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Thank you. I tried your strategy with minor modification and was able to defeat the game.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Not another zombie game achievement is.... Ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I couldnt beat it using this guide... close enough but cant win.

    Instead I started with USA.
    Zoonotic shift
    Saliva 1
    Bat 1
    Saliva 2
    Drug resistance 1
    Bat 2
    Water 1
    Cold 1
    Water 2

Let it spread till only about less than 4 coutries are left uninfected

    Evolve:
    Insomia
    Fever
    Photophobia
    Delirium
    Cytopathic reanimation

    Horde insitnct
    Mentality 1
    Structured travel
    Regenerative activation
    Anaerobix resuscitation
    Enhanced sensory integration
    Adrenal surge

Infect the rest of the countries not affected with horde or reanimate the deads...

    Enhanced motor control
    Masticatory tension

    Autolytic delay
    Horde vocalisation
    Drifting fermentation
    Regerative bio synthesis

    Epidermal digestion

End up I still have quite enough DNA pts left. When z com set up I was juz lucky enough it set uo at a country that was alrdy infected. So I just keep setting zombies over and reanimate the deads.

Won in 819 days and 100% cure.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I have serious trouble destroying Z-coms. I had every country but Central Europe destroyed and something like 200 DNA pts and yet throwing everything I had at C Europe I still couldn't destroy it. I had all the symptoms and abilities but still failed to get ONE country.

I use a combination of hordes and regeneration and the death toll keeps climbing but not fast enough. I've tried every suggestion on here and every other variation I can think of and the Z-com always defeats me.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Brutal victory has evaded me for some days, but using this I got within one country of victory. Only Z-Com fortified Greenland remained. I had about 700 zombies there, and no income because the rest of the world had long succumbed. And Z-Com was winning, eventually I had about 120 zombies in Greenland, and then lo and behold, looters sabotage Z-Com operations. With my last 6 points I got myself the basic revival, raised myself some zombies, and with their new setbacks Z-Com succumbed. First try, tenuous, but this strategy really does work.

  45. [*]Genes. Meta Hijack, Aqua, Dopamine, Base Oxide, Extreme
[*]Start anywhere remote, evolve only the following, Drug 1, Gene Hard, Gene Shuffle 1 and 2. If you get hot/cold countries feel free to evolve heat 1/cold 1, but at a cost to your score.
[*]Wait a long time...... On brutal (for me anyway) the above gene/ability evolve combo results in NO random mutations, so I left it running overnight
[*]100% infected and not noticed. Lots of DNA to spend. :D
[*]Evolve to Cytopathic Reanimation and then most of the lower right side symptoms (inc severity and combat). No need for reanimation or hordes. CR etc converts everyone to zombies, very rapidly slowing the cure.
[*]Z-COM will get activated in a country 100% infected and a rapidly increasing, powerful zombie population
[*]Spend DNA from destroyed countries on more severity/combat symptoms.
[*]Z-COM dies shortly thereafter, no need to horde it, country was already 100% infected with super power zombies
    [*]World either zombie or dead
[*]Congrats you just beat Necroa on Brutal with a high score.:D

    1. When he says "wait a long time" he isn't joking. Took almost 30,000 days to infect everyone, but it worked like a charm. No mutations. And I had like 268 DNA at the end to unleash hell, Z com didn't stand a chance.

9.5 hours of infecting, and just over a minute to convert everyone to zombies :P

      Delete
  46. This strategy doesn't work well for me. I tend to go the non mutation route and beat it the first time I played on brutal. lol the irony is that I played it on casual like 5 times before I could finally beat it.

So in that light I use the creationist gene, and the rest can be whatever.

    Start in Saudi Arabia

Then I evolve with saliva 1, then gastroenteritis, then saliva 2, then water 1, followed by water 2

Then I give it drug resistance 1, heat 1, cold 1

and I sit there and wait until around 5,000,000,000+ people are infected (this is around the time when the first symptom is mutated and also all of the countries should have been infected)
*The virus can't be detected without a symptom!

Then when all of the countries are infected I drop the bomb:
-->Evolve Hyper Salivation, Polyphagia, Gastroenteritis, Cannibalism and Cythopathic Reanimation

This usually happens when the cure is around 0-30% completion. The world doesn't really have time to react and before they know it most people are zombies

And from here you can go create hordes, increase combat effectiveness, and so on and so forth. Chances are you are going to have enough DNA to do whatever you would like. Just have fun with it!

    1. I've rarely had the chance to infect 5 billion people before the first symptom mutation. In addition to that, I don't use cheat genes in my guides.

      Delete
    2. this doesn't work for me either, with the first one, they notice it before I can get good stuff, with this one, I do not have ENOUGH points to get any thing good and they get the cure before many people are zombies and I lose, FUCK 'DIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!

      Delete
  47. But don't they default genes even if you don't use them. Why not just use them then? I had to buy the game in order to get the new plagues (necroa virus and neurax worm). I've beaten the entire game before on brutal, I thought that would unlock the new plagues but it didn't so I had no choice but do buy the neurax worm and beat it on brutal to unlock the necroa virus and purchasing the neurax worm gave me the ability to use genes. So might as well use them.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You are correct of course. I don't deny there are easier and better ways to beat all the plagues. I do however need to consider all my readers and some of them don't have these 'cheat' genes unlocked. In order to be fair to them, I needed to write my guides without using the extra genes.

      Delete
  48. So, from what I've noticed when I play, the transmission types Gastrointestinal Expansion, Bat lvl 2, Rodent lvl 2, and Bird lvl 2 will all contribute towards your disease being noticed. The lvl 2 animal genes are potentially lethal because of the swarm effect. I've played several games now where my disease was noticed without any symptom, which was annoying as Hell. (Which, ironically, is what I name my disease.)

So if you're looking to avoid detection, avoid those transmission types as well.

    1. There are a few ways to infect all the people without being detected. The problem is killing everyone without going zombie. The guys at toucharcade have been trying to crack this one, but without success. So for Not Another Zombie Game is an achievement that hasn't been figured out.

    1. Infect them with hordes, steps:

      - Now start attacking the Z Com bases with hordes, your zombies should be strong enough against them
      - Do not forget about the uninfected countries, Sweden, Norway and Canada were almost always the last uninfected countries

  51. I know you've had these sort of comments for a long time now but I'll say it again: great guide! It worked for me on try #1. What I was doing wrong was that I spent most of my DNA on evolving abilities (resistance, infection) and not symptoms to make my zombies stronger for attacking countries and Z-Com. I guess I didn't understand the game's mechanics before this. I had been able to beat it on normal plague mode not zombie mode. Thank you once again.

    2. Evolve Heat 1 and Cold 1. It will be in between them once you create zombies.

  54. I will be honest, I've always followed your guides and they have all worked very well, however this one here will not work at all, as soon as I get past the Peptide part, the cure is already at 80+% and it in increases by like 2% per day and the cure hits 100% before I can do anything about it, even before Z-Com even shows up the cure is done. I can get to making zombies before 50% of cure is reached but after that i lack DNA and fail. Advice please?

    1. Don't worry about the cure. Once humans start to turn into zombies, the cure is irrelevant. Only thing you should worry from that moment on is to keep zombies killing people. The cure will reach 100% every time, what you should be focusing on is infecting all the countries and destroying Z-COM. Think of this plague as a 2 part game, first part is infecting people and racing against the cure up until the point you do cyto reanimation. After that the cure doesn't matter any more and your job is to evolve zombies and guide them to kill everyone. This is the part that I write that you should infect islands with hordes. Similar as airplanes with the neurax worm.

  56. For the updated version there's a simpler way to beat the game on brutal. In the Modify Genetic Code step choose the Creationist Gene. The other modifications are up to you. Personally I prefer Cytopathic Boost, Supression, Extremophile, and Metabolic Hijack. You can start out pretty much in any country you like. First step is to get Drug Resistance 1, Genetic Hardening, And Genetic Reshuffle 1 and 2. Use Saliva 1, Saliva 2, Water 1.You of course will need to adapt to the cold, heat, or both depending on which country you start in. (You can add Water 2, Blood 1 and 2, and Air 1 and 2 if you want to spend the DNA to speed up the spread of the pathogen but it's not necessary) Never use Zoonic Shift. Doing it this way prevents any symptoms from showing up. Now you can wait as your pathogen infects everyone in the world. Eventually you will get the message "There are no healthy people left in the world" Let you DNA points build up until you have 125 or you can wait for more. You have all the time in the world. Just need to be patient. When you're ready to win the game go ahead and start turning everyone into Zombies. I like to use the Segmented Genome at this piont because you sometimes get beneficial mutations without using DNA. Since everyone in the world was infected already there's no need to move Zombie Hordes because they're already in every country. Use your DNA on those abilities that make your Zombies stronger and harder to destroy. They Should overrun humanity in short order. Good Luck.

    1. Two questions: 1) if the cure is irrelevant, why spend so much DNA points fighting it?, 2) If you do the above strategy, how to do possibly end up with 125 DNA points to spend on symptoms after everyone is infected? I tried this strategy, didn't have a single mutation to devolve, and still had only ~50 DNA points when everyone was infected. I waited quite a while and only earned a few extra DNA points. I gave up and started buying symptoms, but the cure was found before I could get enough points to buy the Zombie symptom.

  57. Further note for my Oct 17th entry...The cure will be irrevelent using the above strategy. It won't develop fast enough to save humanity.

  58. For some reason the game won't let me sent hordes to Greenland or Iceland.. so I haven't been able to infect those islands. I came very close to winning though..

    1. It really depends on the achievement. There is no easy way to get some. Just the only way to get them.

  60. I've tried this method about 20 times and lost. I got it to 60,000 people in New Zealand was closest I got. I'm on the newest version on iOS. Any suggestions?

    1. I just played through it. It works. Try China instead of Saudi Arabia, add a few mutations. Keep shipping hordes to uninfected countries. This one is not as easy as other plagues, you have to observe what is going on. Keep looking at problematic countries and swarm them with hordes. It is interesting that you have problem with New Zealand. I usually had problems with Sweden and I attacked it a lot.
